Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant are core assets of the ChTPZ Group Ferrous Division. Division is patterned on a vertically integrated production chain, from scrap procurement needed for billet production, to end-product sales to customers. ChTPZ Group management company exercises operational management control over the pipe business. Scrap procurement and processing activities are carried out by Meta company, while Uraltrubostal Trading House is in charge of sales and marketing.

For the purpose of creating a complete production chain, ChTPZ Group’s shareholders made a decision to build a steel smelter which, by 2009, will have fully met the demand of pipe plants for  billets used in seamless pipe production.
